Stacking The Shelves

This is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where we share what books we have recently added to our physical or virtual shelves.
Amazon
Amazon had one of their lightning deals going on (while I was at work nonetheless) Daughter of Smoke and Bone box set. It's normally like $54 and they had it for $24. Yeah I had to have it. Well I needed that free shipping so I grabbed A Thousand Pieces of You. The cover....OMG! It's so much prettier in person.
Books-A-Million
I was talked into Zodiac by Erin @ The Hardcover Lover and Tika @ faNGIRLconfessions . They were tweeting about it and it got me very interested in it. We were going on so much about that Romina Russell tweeted us! That was super cool and very unexpected to say the least.
That is all for this weeks Stacking the Shelves!

Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that's ok)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don't spoil it) that grab you.
*Post it.

Then a dark blur knocked the man sideways. The two grappled on the pavement, swearing at each other. She heard the sickening sound of fists meeting flesh. The dark blur scrambled to his feet, glancing at her. It was Kurt. A cut under his eye dripped blood.
I haven't finished this book yet. But I think this is a pretty good paragraph from it. Enjoy!

Life of a Blogger: Freebie (Favorite Sports Teams)
5:22 PM | Posted by
Angie
This is my first time doing this meme. This week's topic is a freebie so I am doing a past one: Favorite Sports Teams
Football:
Yes I know!!! BUT we aren't the laughing stock of the NFL this year. Other teams have stepped up for that thankfully. I was pretty much raised a Cowboys fan. I did spend my younger years in Maryland right outside of Washington D.C. It's tough being a Cowboys fan in Redskins country that's for sure.
NASCAR
Nope not a Jr. fan. I'm all Jeff Gordon baby. I'm as much a die hard Gordon fan as I am a Cowboys. My brother is a Redskins fan (I have no idea how that happened) and I don't fault him for that. Anyway he is a big NASCAR fan. It wasn't until one day he started screaming for someone to put that 24 car in the wall. This was way back in 1996 right in the middle of Gordon's reign. I'm a very competitive person so I had to pull for him out of spite that day. I have been a fan ever since.

What are you currently reading? I am reading this lovely book. Sadly it's taking me forever to read it. Not because it isn't good but work is tough this time of the year.
What did you recently finish? I finished this book a few days ago. It's my very first graphic novel. It's not for the faint of heart.
What will you read next? This is will be my first Colleen Hoover book. I'm very excited to read this. I've heard nothing but great things about her books.

Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2014
This was my first year of proactively reading i.e. towards a goal. Before the end of last year I wasn't much of a reader. For that reason pretty much every author that I read this year was a new-to-me author. I have read a little more than ten authors this year. There may be one or two that you may be shocked by. Yes that is J.K. Rowling on my list. They are not listed in any kind of order.
2. Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
**These aren't listed in any kind of order. I typed what came to mind first.**
